And it doesn't have to be a formal education. What I mean by education is experience in this industry. Without the experience in this industry, you will never understand what to do and why you do it. You also get to understand all positions so you know how to manage and fix when things are not running correctly.

Too many people in the night club and bar industry happen to be, know it alls. You know who they are. It’s crazy to have an ego that large. I believe you are always learning. So, you should always keep an open mind in everything you do.

These people can afford to spend millions of dollars on one night club. These are resort destinations. This is not a reality for the other ninety nine percent of us starting a night club.

If bar/night club ownership sounds exciting, it is. And this excitement draws people of all ages, walks of life, and financial conditions. And they want to be a part of this, and have one of their own. What they don’t understand is two fold. First, it’s not all fun and games. It’s a business, remember! Second, you can’t start a night club with no experience or education.

The night club business is just like most businesses in that you have to learn the business before you can manage, or own one. Make sense? It should. The best place to start is at the bottom. If you learn what each job in the business entails, then you can understand how it all fits together.
