Wing Sauce Recipe
Chicken Wing Sauce Recipe
Items Needed:
Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
Whirl Butter Substitute
Celery Seed
These items can be purchased through your food service distributor. The Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and the Whirl (butter substitute) are packed 4-1gallon jugs per case for the Red Hot and 3-1gallon jugs per case for the Whirl.
Depending on your distributor, you may be able to buy them by the gallon. Also, do not substitute Whirl for another butter product. Other butter products have a little different flavor and thickness. The Celery Seed can be purchased in a variety of sizes and packs.
I like mixing this recipe in empty Whirl gallon containers. They are plastic and have a large handle built in to the jug for easy handling.
Mild Sauce: 2/3 of a gallon of Whirl, mix with 1/3 of a gallon of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. Then add 4oz of Celery seed. Shake well.
Medium Sauce: ½ of a gallon of Whirl, mix with ½ of a gallon of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. Then add 4oz. of Celery Seed. Shake well.
Hot Sauce: 1/3 if a gallon of Whirl, mix with 2/3 of a gallon of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. Then add 4oz of Celery Seed. Shake Well.
Note: 1 Always give the jug a shake before using so that it’s mixed well.2 Be sure to mark your containers of what type of sauce is in each one.
